2004 DGT Canned Food Drive

DGT is conducting it's 2nd annual Canned Food Drive.  We are collecting non-perishable,
canned/dry goods throughout the month of April.  We hope to deliver our collected items
to the Greater Boston Food Bank by early May.  Last year DGT employees and families
donated over 255 lbs. of food product to the shelter in March 2003.

Similar to last year, DGT will match 1 item for every item donated to this effort.  We
encourage all our employees, clients and vendors to participate in this campaign.  We
hope to top last year's mark by 5% or more.  Thanks in advance for you participation.

2004 DGT Walk for Hunger

Join DGT staff for our 4th Annual Walk for Hunger on Sunday-May 2nd.   Those walking with
DGT will be given a DGT shirt and cap.  Beside a corporate donation, DGT will also pledge
$10 to Project Bread for each employee and DGT group participant that completes the walk.
Details about where to meet prior to the walk will be forthcoming, in the meantime if you
have any questions please call DGT's Walk for Hunger team coordinator Alexis Cormier at

If I make a donation to Project Bread using a credit card, doesn’t the credit card company take a percentage of my donation?
While there is a processing fee for every credit card transaction, making an online donation using a credit card is actually the most efficient and cost-effective way to make a gift. As a non-profit, we have a very low fee schedule (the highest, American Express, is less than 3%). This expense is more than offset because online credit card donations require no Project Bread staff time to process (both cash and check donations do), and the money is immediately available to help hungry people. In addition, by pledging online, you receive instant documentation of your gift, and you ensure that your contact information is correctly entered into our database (as it is automatically transferred as you typed it in).

However, if you prefer to make a contribution by check or money order, we welcome your support. Checks or money orders can be made payable to Project Bread and mailed to:

Project Bread – The Walk for Hunger
160 North Washington Street, 5th Floor
Boston, MA 02114

Cash donations are also welcome, but please remember that, for security reasons, cash should never be sent through the mail.
